The Trooper adds to VOITED’s high-quality product lineup with an innovative 3-in-1 poncho/blanket that fills a gap in the market. Part blanket, part poncho and part changing robe – the Trooper is a versatile bit of kit. Imagine the highest quality camping blanket, now add a poncho-style opening, a warm hood and a couple of handy pockets. That’s the Trooper in a nutshell.
Transform the blanket into the hooded poncho with snap buttons along the edge. Tighten the hood with drawcords and settle down for the evening. Use the kangaroo pocket to warm your hands and the top zip pocket to stow your wallet, keys and phone.
Durability is fundamental at Adventure Pending and we’re pleased to see the Trooper engineered to last. The poncho is resistant to rips, dirt, and moisture and can be used and abused day in and day-out.
You’d be forgiven for thinking that the Trooper is a bit of a heavy, bulky beast. But at under 1.5kg, it’s actually one of the lighter camping blankets out there. The packsize is also nice and small and the supplied stuffsack has compression straps to reduce the bulk.

The Trooper, for example, uses plastic bottles collected from areas of coastline to create a recycled polyester that reduces the impact of ocean plastic pollution. The 50D 100% recycled REPREVE® Our Ocean fabric is extremely comfortable and resistant to rips, dirt and moisture.
The outer shell uses a sustainable Bionic Finish®Eco Fluorine Free water-repellent. That translates to a huge 13,000mm water column and a 5,000mm breathability rate. You’ll stay just as dry in the most challenging British downpour as you will in the highest humidity.
The unique, partially planet-based DuPont Sorano high-loft insulation gives the Trooper its warmth. It’s environmentally friendly and, just like the ocean-fixing fabrics, reduces the impact on our planet. It also boasts the ability to keep its loft wash after wash.
The Trooper is designed with a comfort rating down to 11°C. Below this, we’d consider adding another warm layer (think a fleece or comfy hoody). Use the Trooper as a comfy, water-resistant top layer.
